More Upgrades

I bought another 256mb stick of ram bringing my computers memory up to 512mb but after an hour of generals I'm back playing Gunbound who's requirments are an insult to the computing world (we're talking P2 processors here). We got another computer from the swap meet for $300(AUD).

P4 1.5ghz CPU
20gb IDE HDD 2mb Cache
256mb SD Ram
Trident CyberbladeXP 64mb GPU

but no matter, my computer is superior

AMD Athlon64 3000+
200gb SATA HDD
512mb DDR Ram (x2 sticks)
Radien 9200 128mb GPU (shame!)

Gates Keynote Speach & Xbox Next speculations

Bill Gates had a 1 hour interview with Conan in which he showed off some of Microsofts plans for 2005. It was really boring exept for when they got the xbox equivilent of a blue screen of death while testing a yet to be released Xbox game also one of the presenters showing off some features of media centre couldn't get it working.

Some news was also supposadly shed of the Next Xbox but nothing really suprising, I think it's probobly fake though as other reports differ in some places and these are backed up by Microsofts intergration and Media Centre stratagies. The Xbox next will be powerful, all test versions use G5 processors. It could be comming out in 3 versions, 1 standard, one with a hard drive and one that also acts to some degree as a normal Windows PC. The hard drive with probobly be solid state based on contracts and statements by Microsoft into related fields. DVD playback will be intergrated with the possability of recording directly onto the hard drive and one of its launch titles will be Halo 2.5 (hopefully with a better name by the time of release).

More online shopping

My brother ordered a NintendoDS from lik-sang without a game so the next day we go online to order him Super Mario DS. If my parents hear about one more order off lik-sang I think their going to pull their hair out ;)

We also just got a CRT 17" Moniter for our new family desktop. In most families where everyone is a complete computer n00b they'd have know idea what to get and I once believed this was a disadvantage for both parents and children however being the self proclaimed computer expert that I am I have discovered that when trying to get your parents to get you a new computer knowing what your on about is a very bad thing. _{at least for the children}

In a n00bish family the Dad would go down to the local store and pickup this really cool, fast but amazingly expensive computer. Really great for playing games like Doom 3. However in my family it know that I can get it cheaper and for some reason I open my big mouth and we end up getting some PIII computer. Of course my dad is so stingy I don't think we would have been able to get a computer costing more than $300 anyway. The point is that its better to just let your dad get the computer on his own cos you'll get some awsome computer so remember. Never help your family buy a computer, you'll thank me for it one day ;)

I was just looking through Micrsofts website when I stumbled upon the trademark infomation about their logo. Many of the 'strict guidlines' stated are kinda funny.

To properly present a logo, a minimum clearance between the logo and other elements must be maintained. For example, the amount of clear or "empty" space that surrounds the logo should be at least equal to ½ the height of the logo (including the wording). Some logos are comprised of both text and graphics. Such logos should be displayed in their entirety; do not delete any text that surrounds such logos.

DS Arrived

The NintendoDS arrived just as we were checking up on where it was. Included was a manual, x2 stylus, recharge cable and actual DS however a game demo cartrige did not arrive with it so I'm going to have to contact lik-sang about it but apart from that it as another well done job from lik-sang.

Free Xbox Live Subscription

Microsoft must really be getting desparate, for absolutly nothing you get a free 2 month subscription to their service.

Yay, my brother is getting a NintendoDS

In the morning I went out and bought my 200gb SATA hardrive which took ages to get working :S and just a couple of hours ago after alot of shouting and crying my brother eventually ordered his NintendoDS of lik-sang.com it should arive in three days I wish I could have got one :( I'm also still trying to make my realtime halo2 stats appear on this page but without much sucsess.

I'm getting new computer

I got a AMD Athlon 3000+ /w a Gigabyte K8NS Motherboard & 400w power supply for Christmas and now I'm getting s 200gb hard drive which will bring my computers specs up to.

2.01ghz AMD Athlon 3000+
256mb ram (Generic)
200gb SATA hard drive
Radien 9200 128mb GPU

Now all I need is a drastic ram upgrade and maybe a new graphics card.
